Strange feeling

Hi guys ,do any of you feel like your bowels are tender ,like sore ,i also feel like strange prickly sensations in my colon or bowels etc, like nerve pain,can't quite describe it .

Yes, I get this too. But I have no idea what it is! I’ve mentioned it several times to my GP, but she doesn’t seem bothered about it 🙄

I do know the gut is full of nerve endings, so I think when we have IBS, we are more prone to feeling any pain sensations 😕

It bothers me too. I have anxiety disorder and I can be easily tipped into disaster mode when I start feeling that 😕

I get feelings like I have pins in there, dragging sensations, a pain like I’ve been kicked, sharp pain. You name it. 🙄

Yea that is exactly how i feel, u described it just how i feel it, i wasnt like this untill i had a colonoscopy ,i swear they have caused nerve damage in there.

I have strange nerve pain everywhere now.

I hate it , it scares me x

I’m so sorry 😓. I’ve had a few sigmoidoscopies, but never the full colonoscopy and I did wonder if they had caused this. I’ve lived with this for years and every year seems to bring a new symptom. I find it so alarming and very few people understand 😕

Yea i am totaly convinced that it has something to do with it, i am seeing gastro in a few weeks and i'm going to raise the question.

Hi yes have this alot! A feeling if I try solid food major pressure and pain if it trys to go up my bowel .like someone has winded me and my bowel pings.i am going to saint Mark's hospital london to see they can figure out why!as I have burning in my legs ,pins needles in hands,feet,legs.

Have crohns disease

Endometriosis

IBS

Fybromalgia

And a stoma that failed, so a bit complex.

Would be interested in the outcome of your visit to St Marks. I have these "nerve" pains in feet as well as down my leg - assuming it is the nervous system? I am seeing a private gastroenterologist at the Nuffield next week.

Hi ! Yes of course I will I don't go till end of march,I know when I spoke to my gastroenterologist he was looking into me also being seen by the intestinal failure unit as well but not heard anything.i would also be interested to hear how you get on!!

I have PN-----but I have what you feel--so much pressure and nerve pain! It is definitely connected to nerve pain with me. Was made worse with an ensdoscopy! Hang in there! God Bless!
