Has anyone noticed that they get symptoms

Since I started taking the contraceptive pill I have noticed I have irregular bm and pain in abdomen and blood streaked feceals with what looks like mucus covered. Worries

You'll need to visit your GP to explain your symptoms. If you have been formally diagnosed with IBS, mucus can be a common by-product and nothing to worry about. If the blood looks bright red, you might have an anal fissure, again nothing to worry about, but your GP can help you with this. I can't comment on the contraceptive pill I'm afraid, but maybe the hormones in the one you have are upsetting your IBS and perhaps you need to try something else?
