Many thanks to all for replies which are much appreciated. I will look at all ideas/suggestions and try some more adjustments. I am able to cope with vegetables but not salad or fruit - we are all different. I also have to be careful when going out in the evening and don't have an evening meal on those days. However, also having diverticular disease it's essential to keep 'things moving', so it's a constant attempt at balance.
My gastro says they don't refer to dieticians but my GP has given advice on the Fodmaps diet, so busy trying everything as usual.

Hi Katerina1, If you are in the UK both your gastro and your GP can refer you to a dietician to go through the fodmaps diet. GPs are great, but they are not specialists. Have they actually suspended the fodmaps dietician service in your area or are they not referring you due to cost?
Gastro has handed me back to GP for care and said they don't refer to dietician. This happens a lot in my area, I think it is to reduce numbers on their books. I'm seeing GP in a couple of weeks and will be pressing for a referral.
