Having IBS myself and read a lot here and in other places about IBS treatments, hopes and remedies, I haven’t seen any mention of anyone trying slippery elm - which used to be a suggested remedy. I am considering trying it myself and wondering if anyone out there has any experience of using it ?

I have tried both the tea and the capsules, same result with both........NOTHING.

Also the tea is vile.

But my colleague who advised me to take it, says it’s wonderful!!!!!

I think it depends on the type of IBS.

Yes it does help it coats the stomach. Stops the cramping Put into a smoothy. Tastes awful on its own.

Yes, I am taking slippery elm. This and avoiding certain foods which my kinesiologist detected made me 90% better.

I don't experience IBS, but found slippery elm magical for indigestion. I used the powder and found the taste ok but you can also get tablets. Give it a try!!!
