Enterosgel- what are people's thoughts?

I recently stumbled upon this new(??) drug free medicine called enterosgel? apparently it is a gel that is tasteless and you drink it mixed with water.. wondering whether anyone has tried it to treat IBS-D? What are your thoughts on it? Did it help? The reviews on trust pilot look great and they also run a clinical trial (looks very legit) that promises free treatment- has anyone tried it?

Hi I have tried it and it's excellent stuff. I still have the odd bad day but on the whole it works for me and I only use it twice a day. Hope this helps Claire xx

Hi sorry, I know this was posted a while ago but I am new here and I too today have just come across enterosgel, I’ve ordered some but just wondered how you’ve got on with it a year later, do you still take it and is it still effective? Any info would be great 😁

I bought this after reading great reviews of it on this group. Unfortunately I couldn’t take it without vomiting it back up!! I gave up on it. I tried silicol gel (similar stuff) & found that worked for me for a few weeks but then my body sort of got used to it & my D started up again. Good luck with it. Hope it works for you.

thank you for the heads up, I would not want to vomit this as it is pretty pricey ha ha! I have heard of the silicol gel product too but apparently it tastes rank? I guess different things work for different people though... thanks for the advice, will give them both a go as at this point I will pretty much do anything to stop this D! x

I was like you but I also have silent acid reflux so taking stuff like that just makes me heave!! My gastro has decided that I have bile acid malabsorption (bam). I’ve been on colestyramine since the beginning of August and I’ve not had one episode of D since. It has changed my life!! Maybe you should go down this route if only to rule it out. Good luck!!

I have been using enterosgel for over a week now and wow!!! honestly, now I am just praying that this effect lasts cus it is life changing!!! thanks for all the advice xx

I’m so glad you’ve found something that works for you!! We are all different & what works for some doesn’t for others. It’s such a relief when you find whatever works for you. I’ve been great on colestyramine since beginning of August & haven’t looked back. Like you say it’s a life changer!! I hope you have continued success with it. X

Molly, I have been a converted fan of enterosgel for 2 years now ever since I saw their ad by accident on facebook. For me, this stuff has been brilliant! I would strongly recommend you invest in your health and give it a try! Best of luck!
