Hi. I was just wondering if anybody on this forum has had a faeces transplant. If so, how successful was it, where did you go and how much was it. Thanks.

Faeces Transplant
Eh? ee-ew, I have enough problems with my own faeces, I don't need or want somebody else's, thanks very much.
Hi I saw a gastroenterologist yesterday and they don’t do the transplant on the NHS. He recommended clinical trials but I couldn’t find any in the UK so I am going to contact universities directly who are researching into IBS to see if I can get it done. If not then I’m planning to go to the US next year to get it done as it appears to be a big thing there. It is experimental in the UK which is why it’s hard to get it done.
Do you know how much it is there?
I have no idea as I haven’t researched into the US as I want to get it done for free in the UK first. But because of how much it affects my life I’m just at the point of where I am willing to do anything to be cured of IBS
I'm assuming you have diarrhea? If so, have your doctor prescribe any of these 3 meds for you: Welchol, Colestipol, and/or Questran. All 3 of these will stop chronic diarrhea in it's "crappy" tracks! I take Colestipol: 2 tablets, twice a day...2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. You can take up to 6 per day if needed...don't go the poop transplant! UGH!
I've honestly noticed a big difference since taking enterosgel. They do clinical trials on the NHS for it or you can buy it. I try and look for offers or people selling it on ebay
I read about this a while ago and the donator has to be in peak condition. I've not heard of anywhere that does it but find the theory interesting
