Can anyone offer any ideas?

Since the beginning of July 2019 I have been through daily phases of very deep, un-ignorable lower abdomen pain.

Very rarely does it reach above my belly button but it isn’t accompanied by any other symptoms apart from nausea and light headedness. It subsides with small amounts of bland food, water and paracetamol.

Now I have several tattoos and piercings so pain is something I generally find easy to ignore yet this is something else. It’s similar to period/ibs cramps but it’s not, similar to trapped wind but not, and sometimes I end up with a hot-cold sensation originating in the very lower left region. This is a pain I’ve never felt before and don’t have any idea as to what might be causing it.

No diet change, no big life changes, nothing new or out of the ordinary!

I have spoken to my nurse and gp, had several rounds of bloods, urine and stool samples testing and nothing has come back with any cause for concern. I feel stuck because I don’t know how to help myself or help my doctor understand something is just not right.

You have done the right thing by going to your GP but.......................I could suggest what it is but I am no doctor so go back to him and say you would like a colonoscopy if the discomfort is coming from the bowel left hand side. This procedure gives a clear picture of whats going on in the whole of bowel

Thank you for your reply! My doctors are spread so thin so I worry about the response I’d get point blank asking but if that’s a route I need to go down, I’ll have to dig in my heels!

We are all in the same boat Sren, there are not enough GP's for the population growth but if you are in pain it has to be sorted. I wish you good luck

Yes ask to see a gastroenterlogist specialist as you cannot have this going on. You are entitled to if you are in chronic pain.
