Diet during/after diverticulitis/bowel flare up?

Hi there I’m recovering from a v painful tum/bowel flare up - diverticulitis I imagine as have been diagnosed with severe diverticula disease. My question is I haven’t really eaten - apart from jelly and a yoghurt - since Wednesday night and need to.... worried my colons will be missing daily seeds and seize up. What do people eat? I see liquid diets recommended on health organisation websites but how is that going to get your bowels working properly again? I actually have had some (painful) bowel movements this morning so hoping the worst is over 🤞

Try a "soft" diet. Mashed potatoes, ice cream jelly, water melon, but please not all on one plate as that would make you ill for a different reason.
