Still suffering terribly with chronic diarrhoea, I keep being told it's due to my ibs but I've had it for 6 years and just don't understand how I can all of a sudden be like this, I now have urge incontinence both urine and fecal, my work told me to never come back, so having no job is really making me struggle financially, I'm finding leaving the house very difficult as I'm now in incontinence pads but the thought of walking around in my own soil makes me feel horrible but at the same time I know if I have an accident at least it won't make such a mess, I'm just really struggling right now and doctor doesn't take me seriously and a lot of my family don't either, my dad is having to get a biopsy for suspected cancer so I just feel like there's nothing else that can possibly go wrong in my life right now I wish I was just back to the way I was, not going to the toilet for a week then having a day or two of needing to use the toilet a few times a day, but it's just ridiculous now, I'm always dreaming about the toilet now as well so I'm literally never away from it, just know if I was a cat or a dog I would get put down I don't understand why Im made to suffer

Have your doctor prescribe you one of these three drugs: Welchol, Colestipol and/or Questran. Any of these will stop chronic diarrhea in it's ugly tracks! FOR GOOD! I take 4 a day (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening) of Colestipol. Don't give up if your doctor says no...just keep hammering at him to prescribe any of these for you!
Nope they haven't, I feel like they don't believe me when I tell them how bad it is, the codiene phosphate was working but had to come off them due to the side effects so I just worry that when I come off any meds I get given that I'll go back to this just from experience
Hi, is the diarrhoea watery, how many times a day are you going? Have you looked into Bile Acid Malabsorption. You mentioned you used to have constipation, could this be overflow diarrhoea? Also could worrying about your Dad be causing this change?
No I've had ibs for 6 years, the diarrhoea started when I went on doxycycline in April so I stopped taking it as I thought it was the tablets causing it but it's still there, it's no watery, it's more like just very loose, it started before I found out about my dad as well, I keep being told it's psychological but it's my bowels that are the issue and then that makes me worry not the other way about
