So this started 13 days ago. Out the blue, I’ll eat something/anything and within 2 hours I get pain and cramps then the runs!! I’ve got an app with my dr this week. But what could it be? I’m so worried it’s cancer. It’s just after eating. So strange

Constant diarrhoea after every meal.
Well, I feel a bit of a hypocrite telling you not to worry, as I'm the worst worrier in all the world over health, but I have a similar issue only it's not every day, it's about every four or five days. I think in the last six weeks, I have looked at every single website listing symptoms - repeatedly. I've become obsessed.
One thing I have found is that there is a website about bowel cancer which has 80 real life stories of people talking about their initial symptoms and their treatment. I have been through all 80 looking for chronic diarrhea as an early symptom (as that;s what I have at the moment) and no-one out of those 80 people list chronic diarrhea as their main symptom. Some said their b.ms were looser, but if so they had other symptoms too (blood with it, fatigue, stomach ache, swelling etc).
That should reassure us, but once we have an idea in our head it takes a lot to squash it. Me included. But I am trying to take all those diagnosis stories on that website and taking reassurance that none of them match what I have. I'm at the consultant for the first time on weds - and even with that info I have found, I shall still be bricking it! But that's who I am.
Hope that helps
Hello
Yes it’s so worrying just cause it’s out the blue. I recently looked after a puppy that I’ve found out had Giardia and I’m wondering if I have it now!
If you're getting diarrhoea after eating then it may be a sign that you don't create enough stomach acid / HCL & digestive enzymes. They may help you. Doctors don't know about this stuff, so you may have to just buy some & see how you get on. They aren't expensive.
You could ask your GP for fibogel as well which can help bulk up your stools.
Yes I’ll look into this but it’s the pain and the fact my stomach is doing this. It feels off like infected or something.
Oh yes, definitely get everything ruled out first and push your gp if they say no. Pain is very much a symptom of IBS though. At least it is for me. I definitely think you're making the right call going to the gp, but if they say IBS then acid or enzymes might help. It takes a long time to get the dosage right as well.
Good luck with the gp, I hope they have some answers.
