I'm so sorry for what I am about to write guys. I've been contemplating not asking because it's so embarrassing but I'm hoping I'm not alone.
Does anyone else go to pass gas and it ends up not being just gas? You get more than you bargained for so to speak. This has happened to me a couple of times over past few weeks and I'm wondering if it's something else unpleasant that ibs can do to us.
Im so embarrassed asking this question. I'm so sorry 😔 *runs away and hides*

You are definitely not alone - but you can learn to cope - both by avoiding foods that cause flatulence (try the FODMAP list of foods to avoid) and taking steps to reduce it (try charcoal tablets).
You can also learn to get rid of the flatulence without the ‘extras’ by learning which muscles to clench beforehand (only you can teach yourself this!)
Please don’t be embarrassed. This is the place where you can talk poop in any way! Quite often, I’m caught our with what I think is gas and it’s actually mucus. Not pleasant! Is this what’s happening to you? Xx
Yes, unfortunately..not often but maybe every few months. Last time..very embarrasing, as I suffer from severe and chronic constipation..and I may have had two much coffee. Was in shower and felt some pain which I thought was trapped wind or gas. And to my horror..uh..stool came out. Just awful. I can relate. Wish I had an answer..x
Gotta keep things humorous! Sometimes I pull people aside like I'm telling them one of my very deepest darkest secrets and whisper "never, never, never....trust a fart". Lol!!! They bust a gut every time.
But seriously, don't do it. I envy people that can just let 'em rip with no worries.
Thank you for your post. I also have wanted to ask this question but have been to embarrassed. I have suffered for years with Ibsd. I now wear pads in my underwear as this happens often.
