Does anyone work shifts, and find this is worse for your IBS?
I try to take my Mebeverine as I should, but it isn't always as on time when I am working. Also before a late shift, I struggle to know what to eat and when, as even regular foods sometimes mean I arrive at work with a stomach ache. I find myself taking Colpermin and Buscopan just so I can start my shift.
Thanks.

I work shifts and stuggle. My flares tend to be in the morning so if I'm on earlies have to deal with them at work and try not to have to go home. If I'm on lates i have to try and get over it and pumyself together to go into work at all. I struggle on lates with food as I'm there over lunch and tea time. Trying to be strict with homemade stuff but its hard. I feel sick at some point everyday.
I think because I have my big meal in the evening, then I may have symptoms in the morning. Taking Mebeverine at that point is useless, I can range from feeling sick, to stomach ache, to needing the toilet.
So same as you, I have to get myself to work and deal with whatever once there.
I'm skipping meals before or during work, if I have had any symptoms. But that's working for me, even though not the best option.
I still think my manager doesn't understand the condition, as I get asked if I have taken something for it. It doesn't matter what I take sometimes .
