Anxeity attack

I have just passed a considerable amount of bloody mucus, i am feeling very panicked. I have IBS and OCD and i am wondering if these are normal symptoms, i have an anal fissure as well which may be contributing.

Thank you

Hi there - the most common cause of anal bleeding is anal fissure or hemorrhoids. I have had both and so can personally testify to this. My own bleeding was more of a bright red nose bleed type thing so the mucus may indicate more of a "IBS" issue. i hope this is reassuring for you. However, i would still urge you to visit your GP again as I strongly believe any change in symptoms and anything that worries you should be properly checked out by your medical professional. Both to make 100% sure but also because they can offer new/other/different treatments.
