Hi, just asking if any one has found just taking one 20mg tablet a day that contains Mannitol & lactose monohydrate in medication found that this causes issues if following a low FODMAP diet ? As my cholesterol is quite high I have just started taking them, tummy not very happy but it may be some thing else that has triggered this. Seems strange 1 small tablet could cause such a reaction.

Lots of medication has lactose - apparently its a binding agent! Since I have to take a daily meds with lactose I now take it with a lactaid pill. Seems to work for me.
Hi Chocoholick, thank you for your reply. Strangely, I have IBS-C and FODMAPS are the culprits. They just stop my system from working. I am going to give the tablets a miss for a week or so, it’s an ongoing trial with food and drink isn’t it!! Be great for so many people if they could come up with a cure to FODMAP intolerance, here’s hoping 🤗
