Hi! I get wind around the heart which makes me feel uncomfortable and anxious -but once I burp (a lot) it goes. To ease your anxiety check it out with your GP

Hi Hollings,

Yes I often get very bad wind in different places and this one time it was going on for a couple of days and was so bad, I called the emergency services thinking the same as you and because it was almost describing a heart problem they had to send an ambulance out to check me out this is 2.00am in the morning they checked me out and said there is nothing to worry about, I took some paracetamol and they left. So yes it can be very scary but if you are worried see your doctor.

I often get this, in fact had trapped wind in left side of chest last night which kept me awake for hours. Peppermint tea is good. Makes me anxious which can make it worse, passes eventually, but not a pleasant feeling 😩

Thank you that makes me feel a bit better but I am also going to the doctors in a couple of weeks.

Hi, having just replied to one of your questions, I came across this one from three weeks ago. Funnerly enough I had this yesterday. It felt like it was acid or something in my chest region and then referring up into my jaw. I felt like I needed the loo quite urgently and went back to the loo, but then when I got back downstairs, it happened again. I still felt like I needed to go again urgently but put it off for a while because I didn't like this feeling and was a bit scared to be honest. I didn't want to go back to the loo and it happen again. I decided perhaps I should eat something so I eat one of my small rock cakes I had made the day before (they are quite dry in texture) and felt a bit better then, so am guessing it was stomach acid. Still had to go back to the loo but didn't get the pain anymore.
