With my IBS I am lucky, I rarely get any bad pain. But a couple of weeks ago I had bad tummy pain, but it dissipated around lunch time, and put down to wind! This weekend I woke with rally bad pains in my stomach, which didn't improve and by 2pm I called a friend so that I could go to A&E, I thankfully didn't go to A&E as 5 minutes later it just went!
Have any of you suffered like this? I am going to make an appointment with my GP so that they can feel my stomach, just to make sure it wasn't anything else.

Yes, I've had that where it wakes you in the night but then clears in the afternoon.
Agree to best get checked out but I've had not had that much progress from my doc. I think because it's a rather chronic condition that isn't easy to pin down and then treat simply, they would rather avoid getting involved.
In my case severe griping in middle of night caused by something that's been eaten or drunk the day before. Last week my culprit was milky strong cappacino coffee! Probably the milk or a mixture of both. Look carefully at what you had had.
Hi jv, I hope your dr's appt. helped you and that all is ok. You were wise in making an appt. especially when it helps to relieve one's mind....believe me, I know how that goes. Chances are it could have been a gas pain... but hope Dr agrees! Take good care and have a good wknd!
yes she gave me a good examination round my stomach, could feel nothing un toward, thank goodness. She did me some buscopan in case it happens again. Thank you for caring.
