As i also have ibs !

Would it be the warm weather causing it?

Maybe you should get it checked by a doctor.

HEy jimmy thanks !

Yes i went to a doc he asked for an allergy test .. and blood tests ans i did them ..nothing in the results! Im thinking of a relation between intestines and hives but my ibs doc told me that thr is no relation!

Why intestines? Listen to your doc.

The problem is thus : 99 % of doctors have almost no knowledge about IBS ... they’re too busy with all diseases. They’re only very few Doctors in the UK who specialise in this subject. In addition : IBS is under-researched. They don’t know what it is nor what causes it nor how to cure it . Regarding IBS we are still in the Middle Ages .... So how can your doctor really know whether there is no relation to IBS ?? I wouldn’t exclude the possibility that it’s connected.

Hi Rojina. I’ve been suffering from hives for 4 months now (sigh). Had skin test yesterday but no allergies and off for bloods later today... got a feeling they’ll be clear too. I can’t help thinking it’s something to do with my IBS as well... a gut feeling (no pun intended). If the doctor can’t give me any answers I’m going to give up wheat for a bit and see if there’s any improvement, as these started after I began a gluten challenge to rule out celiac (which I don’t have). Can’t help being suspicious... perhaps try cutting something out of your diet for 2 weeks if you have any particular suspicions?

It is entirely possible that you have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). This is known to cause hives. You should get a lactulose breath test from your doctor.

Do you think it’s related to your IBS? I would think maybe from medication or stress/anxiety

Hey

I am covered in hive scars , little white ones now as i got abit of tan coz lovely weather but they look strange and i dont like them at all BUT i found out why i got them and i dont get them anymore!

GLUTEN!!!

I gave up gluten and the hives went....

As soon as i went to a dermatologist and said i had ibs he said the intolerance was coming out on my skin as a allergy. He said only thing he had ever seen do that was a gluten intolerance so i gave up gluten and bye bye hives! And i had pssoaris and that went to.
