Iv been on Metformin 16yr had no probs but trying to control both is hard my blood sugars have gone up from 6 to 8.7

Drop the sweetener, it is really bad for ibs.

Im on metformin, I try to avoid sweetener in every tea or coffee because it can definitely have a reaction. Occasionally I treat myself (less than 1 cup a week) but even then I stick to only a small amount of Splenda for a cup of tea. Other sweeteners have made me sick since my IBS. So be careful with sweeteners and sugar. Saying all that Im bloated all the time. No joy in food anymore.
