Bad Constipation

I suffer constipation from taking Tramadol- what is the best remedy please and also an alternative to Tramadol

Tramadol is quite strong bit like codeine does give constipation issues. Have you tried a prebiotic - I'm trying Bimuno and having good results at the moment

You should talk to your doctor about this as Tramadol is quite difficult to come off.

I take codeine for spinal pain and have to take either Movicol or Milk of Magnesia every night.

Talk to your doctor about alternatives. Also flax seeds good for constipation. Probiotics are worth a look too but talk to your doctor first.

One of the best things that has helped me with constipation is eating organic pineapple first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Just about a handful of small chunks helps the digestive system naturally. You must make sure it is organic as you don't want to consume the pesticides of conventional fruits.
