IBS Treatment - Colodex

Anyone come across Colodex. Found this whilst in the pharmacy today - mixed reviews - and quite expensive as there is a follow up support programme

Thought I'd share for those who have IBS as I've not come across this before

Haven’t heard of this let me know how you get on would be very interested I’ve had silicolgel which is good I now take a Yakut and probiotic each day.

My doctor prescribed Welchol for me 3-4 months ago for my chronic and explosive diarrhea. Stopped it in it's tracks. Very expensive, though, here in the US, so I research and found another same type of drug: Colestipol. Much less expensive, and says it works the same way. Will be trying it as the Welchol is over $700.00 for a 3-month supply..that's my CO-PAY. The retail price is $1700.00 for a one-month supply. Damn greedy pharmaceutical companies! Anyway, I'm going to start taking the colestipol soon. I'll post if it works the same as the Welchol.

I know...welcome to the US....and I am a senior on a very fixed income. No help over here for people who are poor. I also take another drug that costs me a lot, too...and that's just the co-pay. I'm beginning to believe that you guys have a much better system over there in Europe. Although, I'm just guessing you're in Europe somewhere?

National health service but if you work you have NI contributions taken off. Is better than what you have

Yes...always has sounded much better than what we have over here. I feel like I live in a Third World Country nowadays. Just pathetic how they treat people, especially the elderly and the disabled.

I have tried it.... it’s just overrated fybogel!? The sachets of drink are basically the same - was very disappointed. Had one of the sachets to drink in the morning and in the afternoon had an IBS attack :(
