Hi my name is Tahirah and I have been suffering with IBS for a while. Finally I had my first app with a dietician it was to be expected that she didn't say much gathering how much I've helped myself. But anyways I struggle with what to eat for main meals I struggle now to eat my mum's homemade asian food. I brought Arla yoghurt and granola to eat I will try that on one of the days for breakfast. I have been eating salads which help however I'm the type that can eat food like that as a meal. You know how some people eat salmon but they also eat salmon with other things etc it makes me confused and stresses me a little hence the depression/anxiety I have does play it's part. I am a Muslim so but I'm sure your recipe ideas shouldn't affect me from eating it please do help. Many thanks

This is a great link to try Tahirah
I've suffered for over 20 years and my biggest food problem is Asian Food lol
Its just trial and error I'm afraid

Thanks Shaun yes I had a look on the nhs. Yes it is definitely trial and error lol. Yes I do miss eating mum's food but I definitely have noticed the change from eating more healthier now I prefer eating healthy now.
Oh I loved asian food but cant eat it at all now. To say I have a bland diet is an understatement. This is a difficult one for you but disappointed to hear the dietician hasnt helped you more. Ask dietician to give you a list of foods you can eat! Sorry it isnt more helpful.
I know my next 2nd appointment is on the 13th June and I made a list on my phone what exactly are my concerns are. She gave me a little leaflet explains food groups and I knew already what to eat etc I think it's hard because it's trial and error. Felt her answers were broad I asked what kind of yoghurts are good she said any are fine, but I will make sure I get specific answers next time. When I eat something I thought ok it seems fine then another time it caught me off guard so it's all that confusion. Feeling a little run over due to the depression.
Hi DIpsy14 try cooking your own Asian food but excluding onion and garlic. Garlic can be replaced by oil flavoured with garlic.
Tah1: I don't have Celiac (was tested for it0, but I had chronic diarrhea for years and years. Going the same as you...5-10 times a day sometimes. It was awful. Anyway, I finally found a doctor who help me out! He's put me on a drug called "Welchol," and it has helped immensely! I no longer have diarrhea daily and my "movements" are totally back to normal! I was amazed at how quickly it cleared up. Now...maybe once every other month or so, I still have a "bout," but I can handle that. If you get a prescription, do not take more than 3 pills twice a day..that's the max...that's what I am on.
You're to take it before meals.
Thanks Suzie, I brought this liquid it's like a probiotic called Symprove so trying that out.
Hope it works for you!
