I am so fed up with going to the loo and always feeling there is something left behind. When I get desperate I use a glycerin suppository and this is usually successful and I feel much more comfortable for the rest of the day.
I am now thinking of doing this more regularly - possibly every day - and would be interested to know if anyone else does this

When constipated I use them once or twice a week, no adverse effects whatsoever.
I sometimes use these but generally find a mini-enema to be more effective - I often use these several days in succession. I asked a colorectal consultant if it was okay to do this and he said it was fine.
Hi - can I ask what sort of enema you use. I did a spell of bowel irrigation (under the guidance of a physiotherapist) but that was an awful faff and just left me having to rush to the loo!
I use Micralax and there's no faffing at all. It's just a small tube of fluid with an easily insertable nozzle - it works quite a lot faster than suppositories too.
