Still finding my way in this. Lactose free milk has for me been a life saver although still struggle with all the products that have whey in them. Had a raw carrot today and was in trouble straight away. Am also seeming to react to sucrose. I know everybody is different but is this common and likely to be the case

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Have discovered raw carrot is not good although seem to be fine with lettuce. All this trial and error (more of the error at the moment) really sets you back and knocks your confidence.
Have always been prone to IBS especially with mlk products but since a course of antibiotics most things seem to set it off and ironically it is the things I crave.
Have just risked porridge so the rest of the day will be bland and familiar.
Thank you so much for your wise advice. Had a better day today. It is incredible where milk lurks. I just need to put on some weight. As I haven't been able to work much since December I am not certain I can proceed with an intolerance test at the moment, but thank you again.
