For years I was on medication for IBS the pain discomfort and bloating never got sent for any tests it was rueing my life I asked for a colonoscopy after it was diagnosed with inpaction The colonoscopy showed I had a long twisted bowel and did not have IBS it was constipation and overflow I now have to take movealax everyday to keep regular

Well done you Muddle at least you now know. A Colonoscopy is the best procedure to find out what is going on in the bowel. Wish you well x

Yes i sometimes wonder if thats my problem but have to wait 8mths for colonoscopy!

I had a stomach scan first which showed the inpaction sorry that you have so long to wait

Well done you .i was exactly the same but had a stool test as well and found I also had H Poli so double whammy but all ok now ,like you just keep bowels from impacting .i have lactose 3.3 and take it every other day and it works for me .think docs use IBS a bit to frequently .

Yes your right they say it’s IBS with no tests I had to give stool samples when I was anemic found out I had a peptic ulcer
