Best speak to your gp. I was prescribed mebevrine for spasms and Imodium (or equivalent) for diarrhoea and cyclizine for nausea. None of which made any difference to my symptoms. I take a general probiotic and vit d. But these aren't doing a great deal either in my case.

Best thing is to talk to your dr explain your symptoms and get them to suggest something. Good luck.

Thank you! I took duspataline for apprx 1 year after that i stopped taking it when i recoginzed some positive results..my ibs stopped for months ..and after starting a new hectic job ..the pain ,bloating and constipation came back heavier..i went to my dr and he suggested the duspataline again ..but this time it did nothing..this is so confusing ..i went to a 3 different doctors..one of them asked for a colonoscopy ..but i found it not necessary since i dont have blood and im not losing weight or any dangerous thing.. what do u think about colonoscopy? Is it good to do?

Colonoscopy will rule out a few things. It's not pleasant but it's not the worst thing ever. I'm hardly an expert but were you doing anything else, lifestyle wise, when you got better before? Perhaps it wasn't the meds but something else you did?

Well, i believe that stress plays a major role and it’s highly connected to ibs symptoms...but i also believe that medication should calm this shit .. especially when im a super healthy person ..i drink 3 liters water everyday ..i dont eat junk food .. i dont smoke ..i exercise..i have a healthy body shape and a flat tummy (but from about 7 months im bloated..) thank you for replying, i feel like im not the only one who is suffering ..

Note from about 4 months i went urgently to the hospital because of a lower left intestinal pain..I thought it’s a gallbladder stone ..i did ultrasound and nothing showed up!

But a lot of gasses showed (like a black color hiding the organs..) the dr said that this is how gas shows in ultrasound..

Anxiety is the major cause I feel. Calm by meditation and your lifestyle. Look at your diet and stay away from onions, cream, uncooked apples, apples. Stick to bananas and have an orange after lunch. Don’t have too big a meal, just small meals through the day. White bread is also not good. Start looking at the formac diet with your dietician and make a record of the foods that effect you. Lactose in milk and dairy products can effect tummy too.

If you get gassy tummy take buscapan and ordasatron for nausea. Give tummy a break and just stay on bland food, potatoes, carrots, spinach, chicken skin off, light meals. Find your food triggers that helps a lot. Cut your sweets down and watch your chocolate intake. Moderation is good. Just keep experimenting with your foods, no fizzy drinks or too muny flat whit coffees, try s flat white with lactose free milk, much better. See how you go !
