Hi... know I've asked about things like this before but I was just wondering if everyone's able to tolerate rice? Just white long grain rice... do you eat alone or with what? What brands do you use and do you cook on a hob or in a microwave??
Also what vegetables can people tolerate as I know they can be irritant. Are peas and carrots Ok? How do you prepare them, well cooked, pureed?
Thank you all so much 😊

Try any of those things and log the results. That's what most of us do. I had to see a dietician to get help with it. And I think perhaps you should get one. A dietician will help you more than people on the internet as they can weigh you and work with you and your lifestyle. I recommend this for you. See your doctor and ask if they can get you a dietician. Good luck. 😊
I eat a lot of white rice, either long grain or basmati. Both are good and easily tolerated, dont think it matters how its cooked, i tend to use microwave rice but if you have diarrhoea you may be better with boiled rice, as the water is binding. Carrots are good, not so much peas or sweetcorn. I cant tolerate cabbage, brocolli. sprouts etc, but courgettes ok.
Plain white rice works for me, although it is rather boring. Well cooked Carrots seem ok too but never sure about peas. Any soluble fibre is usually ok, especially for ibs d. You have to experiment to find what suits you. Unfortunately it isn't always cut and dried and depends how well you are on that particular day.
Hiya everyone is different. I have just switched to brown rice and quinoa - white rice is more refined and harder to digest. I tend to stick to spinach and cucumber and add some olive oil or garlic infused Olive oil so it's not too dry. X
I cannot tolerate rice during this bout of ibs it may be because rice is a resistant starch the only veg I can tolerate are potatoes and zuchini carrots have to be cooked very well unable to tolerate peas very boring but better than bloating etc.
