Was on a suppliers website the other day and was reading about Artichoke Supplements being very good for IBS and bloating - a lot of people said it was better than any probiotic for reducing the bloat.

Anyone currently taking this, or tried it - how did you find it.

Have so say I was impressed with all the comments so ordered some

Let us know how you get on with it.

Hi there,

Artichoke is especially good for supporting your liver - which has beneficial knock-on effects for IBS. This article explains more: sickofibs.com/ibs-symptoms/...

I was keen to try then had a thought about it being a member of the Milk Thistle family which for me is high in estrogen - I can't take that so now I am concerned that Artichoke is also high in estrogen - if it is - something else that will have to go in the bin - I am estrogen dominant so have to be careful what I take - fennel, peppermint, aloe vera, papaya are just a few things I cannot take! It's a nightmare - just when I thought - oh something to sort out IBS, Bloating and Cholesterol.

I would ask your chemist for advice on this, Janet As far as I know artichoke is not high in estrogen. I personally had estrogen dominance problems when I took it, and felt much better afterwards. The article explains why.
