I had both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy last Monday morning so it’s been a full seven days. I had biopsies done in multiple places (all came back normal thank god.) but, my chest and my lower stomach area has been very, very uncomfortable since then. Has anyone experienced this as well? My doctor said I should be pretty resilient since I’m only 17. So I’m confused as to why I’m pretty much in pain😔

Uncomfortable after colonoscopy/endoscopy
Hi there
I had a Colonoscopy again last year (the first one I had was around 21 years ago - the Colonoscopy is much better now) and did not experience this pain. I would definitely go back to the doctor.
Thinking of you.
Sorry if this reply is a bit late, just joined today.
I haven’t had a colonoscopy yet but I’ve had an endoscopy a couple years ago (I was 18 at the time.) The pain from my endoscopy was so bad I ended up going to the ER to make sure everything was okay, it felt like something was seriously wrong.
Turns out I was okay. But I was miserable as I was healing. So, I suppose it is normal to feel so crappy after. When they take biopsies they take tiny bits of your insides so it’s like a bunch of nasty internal scrapes. The area then gets inflamed and it is just horrible.
I hope you’re feeling better now!
