Recently tried this probiotic with high expectations as a lot of good reviews After 8 days of taking doubled over with cramping in tummy and had to rush to loo 7 times in 2 hrs I usually suffer with IBS C so this was a bit of a shock ! My hubby suggested I take one every other day instead of daily but today I have woken with extreme stomach cramps again I phoned help line they said it was my system clearing out to prepare gut and I should persevere for 4 week period Don't think I can which is a shame as these tablets are expensive Any one else with IBS C think it doesn't work for them ?

It might be a bit too strong for you. I also have IBS c , try one with a lower strain. That might help. I haven't had much luck either, pain and bloating. I've tried different ones with little success.

Thanks I'm actually trying one every other day see how it goes It's a lot of money just to throw away

Yes you could try that. I agree it's a lot money to spend on something that might work. I'm trying VSL#3 at the moment. My dr recommend them, I get them on prescription (uk). They are strong and this is my 3rd attempt. Not sure if it's doing anything to be honest but it gets rave reviews. I just hope I don't end up sick and bloated.

I had the same experience as Angie. I never did find any probiotics that helped, and I couldn't work out why.

The herbal treatment I used to clear Candida actually worked for me.

Sounds like your body is detoxing? Maybe bear with it and see it through to the four weeks, I know that’s easier said than done! I had the worst case of excessive gas and bloating I would’ve accepted a bowel removal if someone had offered it, I’ve been on Aflorex for 4 days and whilst it’s early days my gas is almost non existent and my stomach is flat! I have had some minor headaches but will take that anyday of the week! I know that things can and probably will change over the coming weeks of trying this and I think I’ve prepped myself for the worse as I believe that’s the case before it gets better but right now I am typing this with the calmest , wind free, flat abdomen so if this is how it ends up sign me up to aflorex for life!!

Did see it through the 4 weeks but although the frequent bms stopped I can’t say I felt good and so I haven’t bought any more as it’s not cheap and didn’t seem to help ! Just eating bland diet mostly now seems not too bad and have laxido and califig when constipated

I have ibs c and i also had bad candida/sibo through antibiotics it killed my gut lining and my good flora.

I tried quite a few before got it right but i needed a candida killer aswell as a probiotic so i got something called dida. I also got something called SYMPROVE which is supose to b the big mega probitic at 160 a pop it should have been but from the minute i took it i was ill....

So saw a nutrionalist who said i need find a site that specialise in no added bulking agent ... baking agents blah blah which if u look at alforex it has a load of adde d ingredients!! It shoudlnt have... i am gluten intolerant and any baking agents make me really bad i will poop and poop !

Give it a try it may not b the actual probiotic making u ill it could b the added extras
