Hi guys,

I don't know what's happening to me lately as I have had constipation as long as I can remember but for the past month or so I keep getting really painful tears that sting a lot (on my anus & vaginal opening)

IM SO SORRY for the tmi but I really need advice please xxxxx

Hi

I have ibs d and unlike you I'm not straining but do get very sore and use nappy rash cream and feminine wash to help if it's bad .

One thing on the very occasional time I'm constipated (hardly ever) I've pressed a bit of toilet tissue to the places that can bulge out when trying to go to ease the pain there.

It's not only ibs c that you can get piles - with ibs d it's the fact your constantly going and I think the explosive action too!

You must see your gp and get a referral to a bowel consultant as this needs checking out. You also need a stool softner or try something like movicol, this draws more fluid into the bowel making it easier to pass motions. You can buy suppositories to ease the pain and stinging from the tears. But please see the GP before you end up with an infection needing surgery.
