Hi I'm new to all of this. Suffered for years with abdominal pain and painful intercourse but lately have been getting worse with other symptoms. Docs just told me it is IBS I never realised it could be so painful. Just in the process of reading up on things to try to help my symptoms and advice appreciated xx

You should really go back to your dr and get proper investigations going. It could be anything from endo, prolapse or infection causing sex pain.

List your symptoms and take them with you and go through them during your appointment.

Did you have a colonoscopy? Usually the docs do this (along with many other blood tests, stool tests, etc) before diagnosing IBS. What symptoms do you have besides the pain?
