Reflux anyone?

Hi Everyone!

Does anyone else have acid reflux/indigestion with the IBS? I'm thinking now that my right sided back strain/discomfort and discomfort under my sternum may be indigestion/reflux. Any insights?? Thanks.

I haven't been diagnosed with ibs but I'm waiting on a colonoscopy to do so, over the past few months since my problems began I noticed a massive increase in heartburn to the point it was coming up I to my mouth, i took a sore throat which worryingly lasted for 6wks, i spoke to my doctor who asked if i was experiencing any acid reflux, she reckons this caused my throat to not heal, i now take 2 lanzaprozole daily which has eased most of it, ur probably right in ur diagnosis as this reflux can easily cause other issues, speak to ur doc about getting some tablets to ease it, then ul know for sure if this has been causing the sternum pain x

i have had right-sided pain from my sternum to mid back. i also have GERD. No one has been able to tell me what this right-sided ache, itch, pain is. i've been told it has to do with post hypatic shingles rib inflammation. i take an acid reducer but it doesn't help. i have had tests and came out negative for gall bladder pancreas, or kidney problems. you're not alone, but it is a really troublesome pain because it's hard to figure out what it is.

Heart burn from Acid reflux ?Eat to reduce stomach acid and raise the bodies Alkalinity .I eat Rasberries most days for this .Reduces stomach acidity .Used to get several Heart burn and slept on a wedge pillow for this .Now very rarely troubled by heart burn .

Yes yes and yes again. last year i was put on Omeperzole for acid reflux and took it on a daily basis but i haven't needed to take it for a few months now but just recently the acid reflux has started again and the pain in my side and back has returned at the same time as having a flare up with the IBS not sure if these things are all linked and what to do for the best.
