Hi all, I have Ibs and today I feel so sick and have aches/ pains/ grumbly bubbly tummy, have had a soft motion, I also suffer with anxiety and have been struggling with sleep for a couple of weeks getting roughly 4 hours a night. Any advice please I'm going on holiday tomorrow for a long weekend but feel rough.

I eat peppermints by the truck load and drink peppermint tea to combat the nausea but they can give me the runs so have the Imodium on stand by

Wouldn't green tea be better? My doctor prescribed Colestyramine powder which is a help with the runs. I can't do mints or sweets, chewing gum of any kind that contain glucose-fructose, sorbitol or gluten. Also beware of any E numbers. Good luck X

Oh dear Lolly 75, you sound just like me at the moment, I don't know what is going on, it is worse than ever, so much gas and pain. I hope that once you have your break you can relax and hopefully feel better.

Hi, I feel for you Lolly, do you think you are feeling anxious as you're going on holiday? So many of us IBS sufferers also seem to suffer from anxiety so it's a vicious cycle. I know my own IBS has been so bad lately and in turn my anxiety is the worst it's been in ages and I'm finding every day a struggle. I hope you can find some relief and enjoy your holiday x

Have tried finding out what triggers a attack, I suffer from colitis and find that I cannot eat wheat or corn. Try keeping a food diary to see what triggers a attack. Best of luck

Hi Lolly75. Have you tried Holland & Barrett Psyllium Husk? Its a bit ghastly to take but it will help to harden motions. Drink lots of water and green tea. Good luck X
