Colarectal .ibs
Has anyone been to a Colarectal appointment? I have it tomorrow and not sure what to expect or what the can do to help my ibs. I suffer a few days a week with diahorra and tummy/ intestinal pain, feel sick too.
May be just stressing about the appointment. Thanks
Hi Polly45, First point to make is don't worry,this appointment will just be a chat to ask what your concerns are,if I were you I would write a few notes down about what you want to ask,next he may just examine your tummy,and anus. He then comes to a conclusion on what sort of tests he needs to send you for,colonoscopy,MRI,ect ect.
Just stay calm or you may forget to ask a question you wanted to know. But nothing will happen tomorrow it's just a consultation. Take care.

As you said just a talk with the surgeon. Going to have a colonoscopy and then she said maybe swallow a small camera that would take pictures.!!!! Feel a little worried as they say I would have a sedation. Thanks for your advise and support. X
Polly don't worry about the sedation,just accept it,it don't like put you out for hours,it's more like taking a 10ml Valium. Don't stress
Nervous about gastroenterologist appointment.
