Has anyone tried silicol gel?

Hi. My mum read about silicol gel in an article and it was saying how good it is for ibs. I have never heard of it so I was wondering if anyone had tried it? If it works it does sound good but as its quite expensive I wanted to see what people thought first. Many thanks

I tried this some time ago, but with no success.

I agree it's an expensive item to buy and then find it's no good, why don't you go on to their website and ask for a free sample or even a small trial size? If they're so convinced about its efficacy they should have no objection to doing this.

Hi,I've tried it,it did nothing for me,actually I've tried most of the probiotics cost a fortune and done nothing. Do as Rosie says it's worth a try.

I've tried it,it didn't help me,everything seems to be so expensive for ibs and after 20yrs I'm still searching for something that actually works 😩 x

I tried it and it didn't make any difference for me. Costs a lot and tastes disgusting 😞

This product takes a good while to work. My, now 14 year old son took it for 6 months, 3 times a day before food/ eating. It lines the throat and tummy and is a bit like a paste. He was extremely ill and couldn't even drink water without going to the loo. If you buy in bulk you can reduce the cost per unit but you do have to be religious about taking it. It is not a quick fix but it does work. My son went through one bottle a week and we carried sachets with us when we were out. We were lucky in that we could afford it. But it does work. He doesn't use it now but we do carry sachets around. He no longer has the horrific pain and permanent diarrhoea that he had.

I used it a few years ago and at first it was great and worked really well but then I don't know what happened or if my body got used to it or had a reaction but I started to get even worse stomach problems than I had before so had to stop useing it.

get in touch with the people who make it.i did and they sent me a 200ml bottle sample.will try it after the weekend.
