Get it checked - but I suffer from tension headaches that are not caused by IBS but are part of my constant lack of sleep and ongoing battle with the symptoms of IBS

IE: all of these things can be connected. But you have to systematically eliminate the possible causes. If I have learned one thing about IBS - its not a simple diagnosis... its a lot of steps and time to get things worked out.

Have you cut out all dairy products and started using non-dairy products for all your cooking ?

You could try having counselling or take up yoga to help you relax as most headaches are caused by tension.

You can try the relaxing teqhnique starting at your eyes, jaw shoulders etc.

Are you in the UK ?

You can get a RADAR key

radarkeys.org/graphicalpage...

and also get an 'I can't wait card'

theibsnetwork.org/what-we-o...

These will give you confidence when you go out

Don't forget to go completely dairy free for at least 2/3 weeks

Yes I have brain fog and dizziness every day until I have finished having bm's which is usually around mid day but if I am stressed it lasts longer. I haven't found anything to help it either as am already gluten and lactose free and following the FODMAPS diet. It is not nearly as bad now as before I was on FODMAPS though.

Hey :-) have you tried cutting out other kinds of food? I find that caffeine and alcohol are big triggers and they make me go really dizzy/spaced out. Also make sure you are drinking enough water throughout the day :-) hope that helps!

Hi Netsyd, yes I suffer with all the symptoms that you have described and more, I went to my doctors for years, with various symptoms not realising if you put them all together it came to a B12 deficiency, with just with putting the washing out or drying my hair I had to have a rest, it's not a tired I've had a good day working it's a debilitating, ill tired. Get your B12 levels checked go on the b12d.net/content/B12-signs-... website and see if you symtoms tally. Once I started my B12 injections my IBS disappeared. It might only be me but is worth a try. Vertigo and dizziness, foggy head, headaches are on the list. Make sure your not taking any B vitamins or breakfast cereal fortified with them or it will give you a false reading of not being deficient. Hope you get your problems resolved.
