Fibre !?
You need 8 glasses of water, and 18 grams of fibre per day.
There's a list suitable foods on page 26 of a booklet availble to registered dieticians. You could maybe contact one? It's published by King's ,St Thomas and Guy's Hospitals: it's called "Reducing Fermentable Carbohydrates the low FODMAP way." As it's copyright I can't produce the page here,
"Some fibres are soluble in water and others are insoluble. Soluble fibre slows digestion and helps you absorb nutrients from food. Insoluble fibre adds bulk to your stools, helping them pass more quickly through the intestines.
Most plant foods contain some of each kind of fibre. Foods containing high levels of soluble fibre include dried beans, oats, oat bran, rice bran, barley, citrus fruits, apples, strawberries, peas, and potatoes. Foods high in insoluble fibre include wheat bran, whole grains, cereals, seeds, and the skins of many fruits and vegetables."
Above, I am quoting from the Boot's WebMD website.
Hope this helps little; I agree, it is a bit bewildering.
