Hi I am having similar problems with my son who's 11. He's in a really bad way at the moment and I am having to chase docs and the hospitals to get him looked at. He's has ultra sounds, x Rays, blood tests...all coming up with nothing so now they are saying it's functional bowel pain and that he needs to meditate and focus on the positive by tracking his pain free days! The consultant called me last night and he's probably going to get a camera in there now, but in the mean time he said to give my sons paracetamol or take him to A &E if the pain gets too bad.....I just can't believe it!! what meds has your daughter had? Are they treating constipation?
Hi there. My son is now 17 and has suffered for last 3 years at least. We have had numerous tests done and seen a consultant who was close to useless. My son went through a stage of drinking high energy drinks which I am convinced added to his problem. What is your daughter's diet like? Does she have anything like that when she goes to school? I am not accusing but I didn't realise what my son's diet was like until I really sat and thought about it. He didn't eat a lot of vegetables so I am trying to rectify that. He seems to be a bit better these days but still don't understand what is causing it. Doubt I ever will.
Trouble is it could be so many things, and with a girl it adds a few more for you to think about. Is it just pain? Does she have any other symptoms? Diarrhoea? Constipation?
Sorry can't be more help.
hi doesnt sound like ibs. Has she a sensible diet? at her age could be puberty but i would get doctor to refer to nutrionist. is she happy at school?
does she attend after school clubs or youth/sport clubs? does she go/have sleep overs?
really hope this is soon resolved.

try by starting with a food diary to see if its anything that triggers the stomach pain. I'm new to this as well but have found that Fat - cream - & pork all trigger bad stomach ache for me, sorry not much help it trial & error try the wheat & bread as well this doesn't affect me but can for others. good luck as she so young get your GP to help she at the age she's still growing & should have to watch what she eats unless it to much junk food
Has your daughter ever had abdominal surgery?
