Hi, we don't always go by the book. A lot of people on this site including myself find the more we have a BM the worse the pain gets. Just look on it as everyone is unique so our bodies don't all work the same. Don't worry about it or you will just feel worse. If you read the symptoms of IBS I don't think anyone goes strictly by how they are perceived. OH if only it would be so much easier . Take Care
I use co-codamol but it only really takes the edge off. But if I have a day were Im Haveing 3-4 BM it's slows it up because they can make you constipated. I don't think there's much out there for the pain,I've tried nearly everything out there without much success . I just hope your lucky enough to have a good Gastrologist,GP ect.
You mentioned you had been diagnosed a month ago. What tests did they do? Have you had a scan to rule out gall stones etc. As the pain from that is excruciating. Also from what I read on here IBS is very difficult to diagnose. Have to rule out other things first. Hope you find relief.
First of all I thought it was my coil, I had a scan to check its placement and also check for cysts on overys, that was all clear, Dr then tested me for ceoliacs which was clear too, so she said it was ibs.
I do find it plays up a lot more around my period.
Is there other tests I need to have to rule anything out?
Doctors seem to love labelling things ibs without doing loads of tests. Get referred to gastroenterologist and they should send you for tests. My son has had scan and has endoscopy to come. You could also have colonoscopy and I'm sure others have had other tests as well. Keep reading other posts you learn loads. I did.
