How long does pain last with ibs. I've had a pain in my abdoman in the centre just about mid stomach for the past week. It's not servier but I feel like i have trapped wind or some sort of blockage. The pain does increase when I press on the area and it feels like a pulling feeling that goes up my abdomen.
It's not brought on by eating as such. It's just more of a constant feeling/pain. I do get heartburn or indigestion
Hi,I don't know how to really put this,but here goes. I started with IBS about 12yrs ago, and whenever a Dr,consultant or whoever ask me what's the pain like I used to say,it's not so much pain as discomfort.However, over the past 5yrs it is now chronic IBS as in constant PAIN all day every day.Even going through the nhs,private,every test up and down,plus diets I am still no better,so the best advise I could give to you would be to go and see your Gp and get it sorted.Good Luck.
I don't get pain in middle only far lower.left or higher right? See gp and get advice a colonoscopy would give you peace of mind? Without confirmation its ibs you won't know how to treat this.

Why not try the FODMAP diet google 'The Monash University Australia' You can buy a book and an app.
It should help relieve IBS, hopefully you will find which foods are triggering an attack and you can adapt your diet to live pain free.
