I have taken probiotic pills before, also the usual actimel etc, but I have recently started Kefir grains. I got given them from a friend, they looks a bit like rice pudding. You cover them with milk, leave in cupboard (not fridge) for 12/24hrs, use a plastic sieve and spoon (or wood, not metal anything tho), and gently push them in/around the sieve, you will get the watery liquid first, then as you push it around/thru you get the thick milky/creamy stuff, once you have most of it (without squashing the heck out of it you can put the grains back in your glass/jar and cover again with milk, and repeat the process, then you down (as it tastes yuck) the kefir milk. It is said to be much better than anything on the market as its not pasturised. So far I havent found its helped with my IBS, but my friend said it has hers, and once you have it its the cheapest form of probiotics on the market as you only use a little milk to cover it each time. Hope that helps?

Thank you for that information .Im seeing my Dietician on Thursday I will mention it to him thank you x
