Blood in stool...?

I started finding blood in the bowl and after wiping a few days ago. This is a brand new symptom for me. I am nearly three weeks into the elimination phase of the FODMAP diet. Could there be a connection there? Has anyone else experienced this?

If there is blood in your stool, I would suggest you see your doctor. It may be something as simple as haemorrhoids, but, blood in the stool is not usually a symptom of IBS and so needs to be investigated. I hope that things improve for you soon. Best wishes.

Fresh blood? If it's black it's coming from much further up. I agree completely with genevieve, see a GP if only to eliminate haemorrhoids, which can be easily treated.

Go to your Dr as blood is not normal it may me just because your bowel is overworked or that your stools are hard but get it checked now please just to be safe ok.
