hi. i haven't had that op , but i have had a hysterectomy due to cervical cancer and C section as i was 7 months pregnant at time [baby now healthy 21 yr old ] . so i do understand the fear you may be feeling facing this op. but what i would advise is not to look it up on the internet as it will drive you mad thinking about what might happen . look to the future and recovering , the doctors have to give you the worse case scenario its the same with all ops , it does not mean it would happen to you. plan a reward for yourself for after op and recovery ie holiday, spa treatment or just a day out with loved ones , good luck and hope to hear good news from you soon. just try not to worry , Trisha from Ireland .
You don't say why. I had an ovarectomy due to a cyst--he wanted to take out both and I objected. It was very easy -- laparascopy and I got to see color images of my insides. But now I think I could have skipped the whole thing. I have some adhesions from an ectopic pregnancy but a physical therapist taught me how to work on them. Good luck.
I've got major pain because of the adhesions, they have hospitalised me a few times.
I originally went because of the pain and it was discovered that I had an ovarian cyst. When I had the op last November they found many adhesions too, so much so that they tried to remove some but it became dangerous as they had done the op keyhole. Surgeons said then I would need more ops as my bowel was in a mess. I have tried to persevere with the pain but its affecting my work and sleep!.
I have had many operations on my tummy which has caused the adhesions.
