Hi

When I came out of the consulting room I was in shock as they mentioned intensive care, stoma, perforated bowel!!.

I know these are all worst case scenarios but Im scared to death.

I will have a gynae and bowel surgeon in the operating room at same time.

Has anyone had similar operation? Or problems, I need advice and support.

Lisa

I had a similar experance in October for op on stomach the op would have been very invasive would have had to hvae my spleen removed and massive surgery so I went back to my gp and asked for anotherv opinion at a different hospital I saw a professor and got a completely different outcome and if your like me and have terrible anxiety as well as ibs it's to much to cope. Please get a second opinion soon if you haven't done already, It was the best thing I did. Good luck.

I am also full of adhesions due to multiple surgeries. My PCP told me any surgery to correct would only create more. I am elderly and have changed my way of eating, I massage my abdomen plus I found a good probiotic that helps elimination. Just giving my experience...

I'm new here and don't know if I am permitted to provide brand names.
