Has anyone tried Symprove? And does anyone get liquid sensations on the left side?
Hello AfricanSheila
I have not tried Symprove what is it, also what do you mean by liquid sensations on the left side, I'm wondering if the sensations are what I get from time to time, a little more info please, Thanks

Hi, I have had IBS for 25 years and the pain has been so intense I have ended up in A&E prior to starting Symprove a year ago. It has been amazing for the pain and no other probiotic I have tried has made such a difference. It is not cheap - a bottle a week costs around £20 but after a while, a maintenance dose each day is enough. I now use approximately one bottle a month. It seems to have been well researched and endorsed by several respected gastro consultants. I still get bloating and IBS-C which is probably thanks to my job - but the pain has literally gone.
I too seem, to be having some success with Symprove. From previous comments I wonder if Symprove might be effective for people with IBS/C (which I have) while a FODMAPS diet (which did nothing for me) might work for people with iBS/D. I only heard of it this year and had a four-bottle course in spring and another lately, certainly very expensive, but I too found that while discomfort and bloating continue there have been no further episodes of that agonising pain.
I think symprove has had good results in some people..however its extremely expensive!! ask for a sibo test first, if it comes back positive you can be prescribed meds and supplements to address the bacteria imbalance of the gut.
I am on my 5week of Symprove I have IBS D for the 1st three weeks not much change then the 4th week a lot better and now on the 5week still quite good ,but I must add I still get the odd bad day but they do say this can happen so I will stick with it for the 12week course and "Hope" it works.
