Does anyone get occasional upper right side backache with their IBS

Yes, I always get backache, right and left sides, when I have a flare up. I am on prescription pain killers for when this happens. GP thinks it is muscle spasms.

I do - quite often, the worse the IBS the worse the pain on the right side becomes, then it turns into a deep ache.

Mine is like a deep ache too between my shoulder blades but feels like acid indigestion

I do get an Acid like feeling as well, which is odd because I have low stomach acid

It is very strange, because I have low stomach acid - I thought it could not possibley be a build up of acid but it certainly feels like it is

Yes I get upper back ache most days across my back between my shoulder blades it feels like acid to me but doctor doesn’t think it is. I think it’s definitely food related, possibly dairy as it’s not as bad when I try to cut out dairy.

yes I get pain upper right side hade an in depth gall bladder test but it was clear i do find icogel helps with my IBS and avoid sugar at all costs for some reason it reacts really bad with IBS problems

Yes, I mostly feel my IBS-A pain in the upper right. Explained by my Ostheopath he said that many people feel back pain which is transferred by the intestinal disturbances. We feel our discomfort in the area of our back muscles.!I use a moist heat pad or cold pack which is placed behind me in my chair every morning and evening. It sure helps. Electrical stimulation by means of a Tens unit can sometimes completely get rid of my pain. Other times I just use the cold packs if I don’t want to fuss with those electrodes.
