25 year Endometriosis sufferer

Evening all, I have had endometriosis for quite a number of years, have had numerous laparoscopies and been on a few contraceptive pills. my endo completely blocked both fallopian tubes making it impossible to have children without IVF intervention. 4 cycles later I had twin boys delivered by C-section.

the first few years after my boys arrived I hardly felt any symptoms until boys were about 4 then a year of period pains getting worse and that old familiar dread each month. Then a lump appeared in my groin beginning of this year. felt like a hernia, saw the doc, she had a feel, said hernia, then COVID struck and scans were cancelled etc.. the hernia it turns out is actually a large lump of endometrial tissue build up from my C-section (diagnosis after a biopsy was taken). It's been growing for 6 years and I am due to see a specialist to have it removed. IT's about 3 fingers width across and hard and sticks out and hurts. Makes me nauseous as well.

Obviously I am a little apprehensive about surgery, sure, I've had a few laparoscopies but that was to get rid of adhesions, and check my tubes etc.... never a lump of this size.

I wonder if anyone else out there has had a large lump and what they did?

I am half considering asking for a hysterectomy, get it out and hope it doesn't return. I have my boys, do NOT want any more and i'm in my 40s now anyway.

Any advice welcome.

Thank you :)

Hey Sarah,

It’s been a while since you posted so I hope things are going well for you! Did you manage to get the lump removed? Also, how are you getting on with your decision for a hysterectomy? Xx
