Financial decision and advice needed

I was told by my HR rep that I have until the 160 day mark to hold my title, otherwise, when I am cleared to come back to work I will have to apply for whatever is open at the time... Being that I am a single income home with a kid finishing up high school, what should I do?

I have been considering lying to the docs about the symptoms and just pushing through like I have before because starting all over again is a hard concept for me to grasp right now. Financially I am sinking and I don't know where to turn or what to do.

Would you be able to help someone who is from United States?

Apologies late reply. I can give general information but suspect there are probing financial advisers in US who can help. In australia , we have cancer council that links to financial advisers who do pro bono work. Contact cancer charity or even your neurologist/ radiotherapy ppl.

Mine are on some boards for financial advice to patients etc.

Good luck and remember it will get better if you think it - fuck everything thing negative !

You have to exaggerate - cubicle ppl are never on your side . Of course ppl go ‘ poor dear’ shit but you have to look after yourself and your family- by any means necessary.Brain tumour isn’t like a great bleeding wound or loss of limb- even though there’s probably more challenges - I mean people can thrive without a limb but without a brain??? I think not!

So I suggest you use whatever skills and resources to convince people to get $

$ is necessary for shelter, nutrients, state of mind.

Try to make them see how difficult things are ( exaggerate) and also make them see how it would be if it happened to them.

Most ppl including doctors whatever are busy with their lives and go by the book, protocol, you need to bypass.

Look after yourself and good luck.

Remember you have control!
