Is it safe to take Covid vaccine if I have latent TB?

I saw an article that Covid can activate latent TB. Have you heard if latent TB gets activated with the Covid vaccines? TIA

As far as I understand it, the issue is that contracting COVID can wake up latent TB. The vaccines don’t use ‘live’ COVID so they cannot cause COVID.

This might be a good time for those with latent TB to get advice on whether or not to be treated for Latent TB.

Hello pattyogreen,My understanding is that COVID could wake up Latent TB but I guess only time will tell.

I had latent TB in 2017 & opted to be treated. I’ve had the vaccine as a health worker so hopefully all will be well. There was no mention of not having it because of having had latent TB.
