Zafirlukast Reviews
Has anyone had any bad experience in taking
Zafirlukast
? I can't take Singular and was prescribed
Zafirlukast
but can't find many reviews on this med. I also split my 20 mg pill and take only 10 mg/day. Has anyone tried this method.

Discontinued drug
Hi, I have been on
zafirlukast
20mgs twice daily for about 10years and recently have been told that this drug has been discontinued. Before starting this drug I had tried montelukast but is gave me abnormal vivid dreams which become horrendous so I had to stop it and go on

Zafirlukast
Hi, does anyone know if there is any alternative to this medication. I would really like to stop taking it because of the side effects, but every time I try my asthma flares up again.

Montelukast
Hi everyone - I am back on montelukast (was on
zafirlukast
) and I’m struggling with bad dreams and headaches. The first time I was on this I gave up quickly because I felt so horrible. Then the consultant got me back on it and after ( I think) a month I felt better.

GP tomorrow and very confused
I have a home nebuliser, relvar ellipta salbutamol fexofenadine
zafirlukast
omeprazole and ranetidine and epipen. In the last few years I've been pretty much constantly off and on prednisolone. My own GP wanted me to try steroid injection to get better control and avoid the tablets.

Montelukast Question
As a practical matter, most clinicians select an oral LTRA (montelukast,
zafirlukast
) for initial therapy, rather than the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO) inhibitor zileuton, as zileuton requires twice daily administration, periodic monitoring of liver function tests, and has some potential drug interactions.

Flared up chest
I usually take revlar elipta,
zafirlukast
, fexofenadine, omeprazole. I am using the nebuliser in the morning to get pf up before I do my revlar ellipta. I think I'm just run down (and very mumpy) any ideas what I should try?

My steroids are finished - now what?
I'm on revlar ellipta 184 and
zafirlukast
, there's no option of doubling up doses with the revlar ellipta. Just not sure what to do as I really don't want to be ill over Christmas and I really don't want to take yet another course of pred...

Worst things people have said/what not to say to someone with a lung condition
***in short: corticosteroids (prednisolone, beclomethasone, fluticasone) suppress the immune system locally (in the lungs), reducing the response of the WBCs, thus reducing inflammation; leukotriene receptor antagonists (montelukast,
zafirlukast
) block receptors in the lungs to chemicals called leukotrienes

Nightmare side effects!
Eventually my pharmacist decided it was most likely to be the Montelukast so she changed me on to
Zafirlukast
as she said this was not known to cause the same side effects.

montelukast and zafirlukast
The GP has said that there is also
zafirlukast
out there which is the same family but which might suit better. Has anyone swapped from montelukast to
zafirlukast
and found it better or worse? Or has anyone found a way of minimising the montelukast side effects? Many thanks

Hi everybody I usually post on the parents bit but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about
zafirlukast
. My 4 year old daughter's cons said yesterday that if upping her current meds doesn't stabilise her asthma then he would put her on this.
